my 堂哥 drove us frm Haikou to Qionghai, my hometown. The journey tk 2hrs & the road in the rural was bumpy due to the slight drizzle. When we reached the country hse it was alr 11am. We had a sumptuous lunch with crab prawns chicken goose duck vege etc. Took lotsa photos there & i felt extremely excited to visit my nephew & nieces there. I'm glad their lives hav improved but it's stil far frm that in city. I had a lovely time strollin at the country side, admiring the view of plantations, coconut trees, ponds, little animals like goose, chickens, dogs, ducks. The air was fresh. It was juz too wonderful to be bk aft 12yrs.
Went for my ear appt tdy @ orchard paragon, pacific sleep centre lvl 20. The place was def a whoa cuz it doesnt look like a place to consult a doc but a spa or wellness centre Ha. Thats how wonderful the place is. Brightly lit, elegant & simple furnishing. Glass panels evrywhere & even a small cosy corner where you can hav a sip of coffee. I din noe my doc is so pro. Ha. He's featured in THE STRAITS TIMES, HOME on 14th july this yr regarding some sleep research. And i can't believe he's only 36 this yr with 3 kids. His qualifications alr tk up 1/2 of his namecard Ha. Can't believe he's so wonderful & he kps callin me `so cute. Hehe. I'm nt that small k.
And anyw, he says my ear is 80% ok but stil hav to drop some medicatn inside n see him in 2 wks time. Sob. The consultant fees is soo ex. 40 bucks + ear cleaning ($35) + medication ($19.90) + 5% GST = $98 total *bleah He lied. He said it wld be the same as TTS. But 2 wks time the fees shld be 40 bucks only ba. I hope. And he asked if i wana teach his kids chi. tuition. Hoho. i don't wan. And he kps babblin abt his family. Ha. He's such a happy go lucky.
Kino's havin 20% storewide discount ytd n tdy but there's nth for me to buy. Went to developed the photos tdy. Met tian2 @ orchard mrt. they were havin CCS gatherin i think. Lotsa ppl shoppin for xmas presents @ orchard. And paragon is reali horrendous. They sell the most expensive things there & ppl can stil afford to buy them. Across the street down the underpass there's someone blowin xmas song juz to earn a few cents. It's juz so terrible. The weather's being terrible too. Rainin & drizzlin all day. Ppl committin suicide muz be increasin these wks. It makes me feel moody. I dont like it.

But the sea water is v beautiful. The sand is nt. It's super hot at the beach. Mum dad & I shared a huge coconut to drench our thirst.

It was juz too wonderful to be bk aft 12yrs. My mum & i packed lotsa clothes n bisuits for them frm s'pore. They were v thankful esp my eldest niece. She's pri 2 this yr & loves to tk part in var competitons like story tellin, dancin etc. I gav her a pink sch bag. Given her age, she speaks mandarin v well. Ppl at the country side dont speak it well. She told me she woke up at 5.30am ervy mornin cuz sch starts at 6.30am. Sch hrs are divided into 2: the 1st one frm 6.30 to 10.10 & the 2nd frm 2.30 to 4.30 She rushed bk home frm sch as she wanted to send us off to Haikou in her dad's car. It's tormenting for her as she had car sick thru out the journey. She cldnt eat but slp at the restaurant whn we reached Haikou. Poor thing. She was too excited.
I felt glad to be bk but stil miss Hainan somehow. It's been rainin for so long. I hope it wld subside soon. Xmas is comin & tt means 2006 is comin to a close. The brand new 2007 awaits us. Time's flyin it's so scary that we are turnin old evry min. Anyw, the festive season is juz ard the corner so the celebratn begins! Smile everyone (:
