the garden slug -
have always wanted to go there but i don't stay in the east & it's inconvenient if you don't drive.
they offer great comfort food for group of friends to share
4-5 people will be the best.
we love the orange-glazed for its sauce wonder
& the roast pumpkin w/ shrimps pasta was homely
desserts @ the cheesecake cafe -
i really love my strawberry oreo;
perfectly layered w/ strawberry puree & halved oreo cookies
Nice.
the interior of the shop was furnished w/ many ancient European decor such as figurines & frames.
Cosy, so you could spend the night catching up w/ friends
next day we had brunch @ hatched, Evans Lodge -
another all-day breakfast place on my food list.
no GST, no service charge; open early, end late.
resonably priced & portioned.
dinner @ Spruce, Tanglin Rd, Pheonix Park -
daily special was pork belly in carolina sauce - awesomeness because it was warm; crispy skin & tender meat. the broccoli was seasoned so well w/ garlic & butter & other cold veges i could not name
Spruce's signature sundae w/ glazed pecan nuts & brownie bottomed
mango sorbet tasted too good
the staff were so nice & the atmosphere by the woods on a chilly Saturday night makes it even better
i absolutely love the interior; you definitely havta sit outside to experience the well-textured lighting
crossed off 4 food places from my list - happy :)
the east is really one place for foodies but luckily i don't stay there lest my wallet bursts
since levina's having the car by herself, we definitely havta make full use of it!
travel to all inaccesible eateries at one go!
food trotting really makes one happy.
memorable sleepover @ girlfriend's <3
_
can't wait for another adventure
